Fall is a season for fresh starts, which is why it’s a great time to take stock of your referral program (if you have one!) and see where you can make it better. Referral program optimization means focusing on 2 key metrics:

1. Share rate (the percentage of people who share your referral program)
2. Conversion rate (the percentage of referred customers who make a purchase)

To boost these metrics, you can look at…

• Ramping up promotion of your program (sharing it more via email and other key locations across the customer journey)

• Changing up your rewards or making them 2-sided (where both the referrer and the referral get a reward)

• Improving your program landing page so the copy and images are more enticing
