[March 2025] 🤘 Underutilized resources, 7+ admin updates, 🤯 feature preview

Marketing isn't just for marketers & continuing to improve on admin experiences

Hey it’s Mica,

In the last newsletter, we discussed how marketing a business is “team sport” not just for marketers. We covered 5 ways sales and service teams can assist marketing and how we do it here at Referral Rock.

One key way is having your frontline team ask for referrals. To make that easier, we created a step-by-step guide on training your team to ask for referrals, including example scripts, templates, and common objections.

We believe frontline teams are a underutilized resource for most businesses. A great sales & service experience is the difference between a customer who refers a friend and one that does not.

That’s why we’re leaning further by building a Recruiter Role inside the Referral Rock app.

See the 👀 sneak peak below and get in touch for early access.

Since we released the new admin experience it continues to get better. This month, we added some nice quality of life improvements:

  • Faster page loads - Tables load 90% faster & profile views open/close instantly

  • Find the info you need - Additional table columns and properties on the member profiles

  • Prefer the classic admin views - Added “Legacy Views” to the navigation menu for easier access

  • Coming soon - Bulk actions, saved views, & bringing back “Open as member”

👇👇👇 Read details below for all the admin changes + what’s coming next month.

As always, get in touch if you need help (yes, we reply).

👀 Sneak Peek: Recruiter Role

The most requested feature for 2025 was “built-in tracking for who recruited which members” (selected by ~32% of participants in our poll). This is also the #1 feature requested from prospective customers.

The Recruiter Role is in active development with a target release in the next few months. This feature allows sales, service, and implementation teams to:

  • Enroll customers directly into the referral program (as new members)

  • Share the referral program via personal link, SMS, Email, QR Code, or other app

  • Get credit for any referrals from recruited members (great lead gen for sales reps)

  • Check referral and reward statuses for recruited members

  • Add referrals on behalf of their recruited members

Giving a frontline team their own app to recruit + track customer referrals will have a major impact on getting businesses more referrals.
