[Feature Update] ๐ 1 import to rule them all (+ sneak peek)
New Customer Import, Customer Feeds, Other Import Improvements
Hey it's Mica,
To give your business a chance to compound customer referrals, it all starts when you get a new customer.
Two key things should happen: first, check whether the new customer was a referral (so you can thank them or make good on your referral program reward promise). Second, get that new customer into your process/program so they start sharing with their friends (see hitting the sharing window).
Until now, this required two separate processes with different integrations:
Approve referred customers (trigger rewards)
Add customers to your referral program (ready to be invited)
One step, done. This month, weโve combined these into a single customer import (automatic feeds coming soon). Weโve also made several quality of life improvements to the bulk importer.
Let's dive in. ๐๐

P.S. Sorry, not sorry for the dad jokes. Fatherโs Day was Sunday, and these were import-ant updates.
โก Single import for your entire customer flow
We now handle the entire customer flow from the new Customer Import. Just upload your list of recent customers, and weโll take care of the rest.
Approve referral and trigger associated rewards (if customer is an existing referral)
Add customers as a preloaded member (ready to be invited)
Send Invite Email (according to Invite Scheduler)
Follow up based on program engagement

The Customer Import was designed to run again and again without worrying about duplicate records or adding someone by mistake.
If an email already belongs to a member, nothing changes (no duplicates)
Only approves eligible referrals (referrals already approved or denied stay as they are)
Email matching more than one referral is skipped
Import history shows you a summary of what was added, approved, and skipped

Once your customers are added to your program, automatically invite them to share based on your invite scheduler settings.
Add customers as preloaded members
Set eligibility days for being invited
Configure Invite Scheduler

๐ Coming soon: Automatic Customer Feeds
This month, we laid the foundation for automating your customer flow from a single import. Next, weโre adding Customer Feeds for common systems as direct methods to automatically add customers to your program.
๐ Import quality of life improvements
A few smaller fixes that make every import smoother.
A modern coupon uploader
If you reward with single-use codes, upload your coupon export and pick the column with your codes. They're added, cleaned up, and de-duped automatically. No more wonky copy and paste.
Full names split themselves
If your list keeps names in one column, import it as-is on any member or referral import. "Mary Anne Smith" lands as first name Mary, last name Anne Smith. No spreadsheet prep.
Enable or disable members in bulk
Mark members enabled or disabled with a column on a member update import, instead of clicking through them one at a time. Leave the column out and their status stays unchanged.
Recruiter columns on imports
Assign a source recruiter, an assigned recruiter, or both, matched by email or external ID, when you add or update members and referrals. If the recruiter isn't found, the row still imports, it just skips the recruiter.
